a little summary of 2010

We just left behind 2010 and we entered in the New Year 2011, and I want to make a run-trough to what happen to the world the, now last year, 2010.

A lot of things happen in a year on the world, but there are some events that affect the entire planet. On January 12^th, a 7.0 earthquake devastated Haiti, killing over a 200000 people and millions of people were left homeless. The world was shaken for this new, and a lot of campaigns were made by a lot of counties for recollection people for this cause, and today there are still people who are helping this country to come back to the normality, thing that is going to take a long time.

Another history that went all around the world was the history of 33 miners that got stuck in a miner development, over 700 meters deep. They were waiting to be rescued 70 days, and finally all 33 were rescued save and sound. It’s a history of survival of these 33 people and surmounting of Chile.

For Spain soccer, it was a good year because they win World’s Cup in South Africa on July 11^th. They win the final match against The Netherlands, one goal for Spain against 0. It was the first time that Spain won the World’s Cup, and it finished a good phase in Spanish soccer, because 2 years ago, they won too the Euro 2008.

The worldwide crisis was the new that take up mainly all the front page of newspaper all around the world. Each country solutions didn’t like all the people, and it was a year of strikes and demonstrations.

And the last big new of the year was the over 250000 confidential papers that went to Internet by the web page Wikileaks, that make people doubt about a lot of countries’ ethic, mainly USA.

But the entrance of 2011 we left behind too the first decade of the 21st century. This decade was marked by terrorism: September 11^th 2001 in New York, March 11^th 2004 in Madrid and July 7^th 2005 in London, made countries have more fear against foreigners, and made safer lot of affairs, like airports’ security control. It is the decade of the technological progress, and Internet was easily extended on the developed world, inserting it in our daily life. It happen to the A flu, that alarmed the entire world, and finally it wasn’t so big deal.

What will happen to the world on 2011? What will happen to us? This we will discover slowly.
